Lubna reporting from Rome

Rome was not built in a day, the Special Enjoy of the President has said during dinner in Rome. The Special Enjoy said this in the visit to Italy accompanied by President Mohamed Nasheed and the special delegation.

"Rome was not built in a day. So we have to be patient. It is only 100 days since the new government was formed. We have to give time for the new government," the Special Enjoy told a reporter of Rai Television of Italy.

Asked if he will directly profit from this visit to Italy, the Special Enjoy categorically denied past allegations of corruption against him.

"My only intention is to serve the people of Maldives. I never got a commission out of the Velaavaru deal," the Special Enjoy said.
