Dr Munavvar was brought to the cabinet by President Maumoon in November 1993. He served as Attorney General for ten years. This vast experience is what differentiates him from other candidates. There is no other candidate who can claim to have similar leadership experience.
Dr Munavvar is accused of prosecuting many people. It is the job of Attorney General to prosecute criminals. Munavvar worked not for a particular person but for the good of the nation.
Never a quitter, Dr Munavvar remained in the cabinet, until he was fired by Gayoom in November 2003. Munavvar did not resign because he believed that he can work for change while being in the cabinet.
Today this hero from Addu has stood up to serve the country.

So you think ten years of serving Gayoom regime is something to be proud of? So you think sending innocent people to jail was something good? You think violations of human rights that happened when Munavvar was in cabinet can be excused? He was serving the dictator who made Eavan Naseem get killed, and shot to Javvah, Faza yah.

there is nothin to do munavvar coz it is da maldivians who are voting to maumoon for 30 yrs,meaning u too are proud of being given a vote to maumoon,so y nt munavvar proud of serving to the maldivian leader for 10 yrs..
are drug addicts innocent? sendin them to jail is it a violation of human rights? by da way munavvar does nt kill Evan naseem nor he orders it,dont u knw maumoon is da commander in chief and he shud be responsible for it..if munavvar has to take any responsibility then u too has to take..by da way he is da only man who has apologised for any unfairness if he has done knowly or unknowly..we r proud of him...
Dr Munavvar was responsible for sending to jail not only drug addicts but many innocent people who were opponents of the regime. Writers were harassed and sent to jail. Journalists lived in fear. In the kitchen cabinet of Gayoom, Dr Munavvar sat comfortably for 10 long years. Talk about conscience. Don't try to divert the topic with the drug addict crap.
AG's role is to implimement the existin rules..so if sumone has to go jail based on those; does nt mean he is bad..now only we r talkin abt freedom of press..specifically we can't point out it to him..talk abt ur parlimentarians...
