Dr Shaheed resign last year because he afraid of no confidence vote from Majlis. He afraid because Yameen's PA will expose details of Project Druid. Only Yameen and Kutti Nasheed know details of Project Druid. Anni defeat worst dictator Golhabo in election. So Anni not afraid of anybody. So Anni appointing Dr Shaheed as foreign minister. Same Majlis as last year. Project Druid details still with Yameen.
Dr Shaheed want to make history. As person who appointed as foreign minister by two consecutive presidents. Becoming foreign minister after resigning one term.
Dr Shaheed very happy to reunite with his mistress Shazra at foreign ministry. He make Shazra very senior staff when he was minister. Now he can unite with Shazra for change.
Dr Shaheed will appoint former H & K employees to diplomatic missions in Copenhagen and Oslo. He form new embassies in Reykjavik, Antarctica and Greenland in new term.
Maldivians experience only 2 foreign ministers in last 30 years. Gayoom friend Fathulla foreign minister before Gayoom elected too. Then in 2005 Dr Shaheed start foreign minister. Now again in Anni cabinet Dr Shaheed. Old wine in new bottle.

the blogger is not implying that dr shaheed is alcoholic. but by appointing dr shaheed as foreign minister, anni is bringing the same old guard of gayoom to anni's new cabinet. thus old wine in a new bottle. despite the fact that the blogger cannot write or express in english very well, this idea is worth debating in our society. after all the sacrifices we made for democracy, do we need corrupt relics from the gayoom era to fill the seats of our new cabinet? after all, dr shaheed is the same person who said gayoom is the father of democracy, and told the world media that Black Friday demonstration was not a pro-democracy demonstration.
