Dr Munavvar is not a corrupt person. So many people say that Dr Munavvar is corrupt because they don't know Dr Munavvar. Friends and people who know Dr Munavvar know that he is as clean as the sand on our beaches.
When Munavvar was in cabinet, he was in the post of Attorney General. If you are the Attorney General you can't have any control over giving resorts to your friends. Because an Attorney General cannot give a resort to a friend. This is common sense. Even a child will know this.
Dr Munavvar and Abdullah Shahid were buddies at school. Later they worked together at foreign ministry. So they were good friends. When Munavvar was in cabinet he was seen together with Shahid many times. This was because they were good friends. Shahid could have abused his position in President's Office to award resorts to his friends. But Dr Munavvar had no involvement in the corruption of Shahid.
Ibrahim Hussain Zaki was Dr Munavvar's best buddy in the cabinet. When Zaki was the tourism minister they were seen together many times and they visited resorts many times. This was friendship. Dr Munavvar did not try to abuse this friendship and try to get resorts for his friends.
Zaki and Munavvar bid for Villingili in Addu Atoll because they knew that without influential people Villingili will never become a resort. So they did this because they wanted tourism to go to Addu. They told Maumoon also about bidding for this resort. It was all transparent and no corruption was involved.
According to the law even cabinet ministers can do business. They have to inform the president in advance. Who in the cabinet does not do business? All ministers are renting their houses. Abdulla Shahid is renting his house. Abdul Rasheed Hussain is renting his house. The ministers are also human beings and they have to earn money. So Munavvar also had done nothing wrong when he did business while in cabinet.

So a child knows that an attorney general cant give resort to friend and this is common sense. Where do children learn this, for that matter most adults even wouldnt know the politics of Maldives. It has always been not for the common people.
Only now people are more aware of the political turmoil situtation, but hardly are they aware of how it runs.
No primary school or secondary school will have textbooks detailing the politics for the country.
Most countries try to teach as much as they can about politics to the children and adults and in this case its opposite, making people as unaware and ignorant as possible is the goal.
From what you have said Munawar is goody and the rest are the baddies. Why do you have to make someone look bad in order to make another look good.
Btw where do you get all this information from.
Why dont you show what he has done for the country, his achivements not in his educational background but in practical terms, with the people..
We get all this information from Dr Munavvar himself, the president of the largest opposition party in the Maldives. We also get information from his supporters. nobody can pin point a specific genuine case of corruption of Dr.Munavvar after 10 yrs of service..this shows we can relive on him more dan anybody..

btw i have been observing the corruptions of Dr Munavvar for years. i have also done research online and found enough materials to show that Dr Munavvar was a corrupt politician, who was involved in murky resort deals to name a few of his scandals.

If this is you saying munavvar is no bad man, trust me he will dump you too as soon as he wins something significant. Munavvar is the most ruthless, corrupt drunkert the Maldives has ever seen. He fucks his employees and everyone around him and he is crazy for wealth. He cares no one but him.
