Free CK perfume for Dr Munavvar's supporters

Le Cute, the premier perfume boutique in Maldives, managed by Lintel Investments and Management Services, is offering free Calvin Klein perfume for supporters of Dr Munavvar.

Abdul Majid, one of the shareholders and Managing Director of Lintel, is a close business associate of Qasim Ibrahim, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Villa group of companies. Majid is involved in the campaign of Dr Munavvar. Other Lintel financiers like Hassan Zahir (Rado) and Ahmed Zahir (Ahanma) are backing Dr Munavvar as well.

The perfume giveaways are CK Truth 3.4 oz EDT for Men and CK Contradiction Eau de Parfum Spray 100ml for Women. Dr Munavvar's supporters can use the perfume themselves or they could give the perfume as gifts for loved ones.

Contradiction is a complex blend of ingredients chosen for their individual clarity and ability to harmonize. We refer to this signature fragrance as a joyful oriental. The exhilarating freshness gives way to vibrant textural florals wrapped in a sheer blanket of soft warmth and femininity. She's strong, yet feminine. She's smart and sexy all at the same time. In many ways, she's a woman of contradiction. - Calvin Klein

TRUTH review by: KD
"ever since i entered my teens i was hooked on davidoff cool water...but that day at Le Cute, when i tried the calvin klein truth for the first time, i knew davidoff had a new rival. calvin klein truth offered everything that i had wanted, a natural yet outstanding fragrance and it lasted a long time too!"

The perfume giveaway is a new campaign strategy under the slogan "For clean life vote for a clean leader!". In a survey carried out by Ministry of Health, 85% of the Maldivians agreed that perfumes are an essential component of a clean life, in addition to Omo.

Majid launched the perfume campaign in a small function held at Seagull Cafe today.

I was supporting reeko before. but if i can get perfume i will support munavvar. i want three bottles. CK truth for myself, CK contradiction for my wife and CK contradiction for my mistress. Is this possible? Or is it one bottle per person? All of them will vote for Munavvar if we i can get three perfume bottles.

Dear Mr Majid. I'm Julia. I'm a member of International Perfume Bottle Association (www.perfumebottles.org). I am thinking if you can make any arrangement for all the empty bottles to be shipped to me. I am a collector . I don't know who Dr Munavvar is and I probably won't be able to vote for him either. But we can spread the word about your politician and your Le Cute shop among collectors.

Dear Julia. Due to the product development policies of the company, we will be unleashing a watchdog to prevent the circulation of empty bottles of the coveted CK perfume. However, we can source empty Russian vodka bottles through the grace of Patrice Lumumba. We hope that you will find the size of the bottles a perfect fit.

I think this is bad strategy by Le Cute. If they give free perfume to only Munavvar supporters, then after election supporters of other candidates will not shop from Le Cute. Bad marketing strategy. In a marketing campaign the market can be segmented. But i think segmenting political groups is not good business idea.

"Marketers should strive to create a significant perception of difference between their product and the offerings of competitors. This becomes particularly important, and of course a more difficult job, when competitive products or services have virtually identical features that offer like benefits. Developing a USP that accomplishes this task is called product differentiation.

For example, a perfume manufacturer could use the product name, packaging, and advertising to create a certain distinct mood or feeling about each of its product lines. It can carefully target each line to a specific audience. "

Hi. I am Cynthia Blake and I am a member of The Fragrance Foundation of UK. Our website is http://www.fragrancefoundation.org.uk

I have never heard of this type of fragrance marketing. I think market researchers in UK will follow this trend. Thank you for publishing this in your blog. I wonder if Gordon Brown will use such tactics in his campaign.

Our research at UK shows slightly different trend about gifting fragrances. You can read it here. http://www.fragrancefoundation.org.uk/market-research.htm

"Although about 30% of women and men “usually” receive fragrance as a gift, the fragrance selection process is very personal and most fragrance wearers prefer not to receive fragrance as a gift unless specifically requested by name. Recent research by the Fragrance Foundation in New York indicated that 75% of American women who received fragrance as a gift were dissatisfied with the fragrance. According to research conducted by AC Nielsen in 2004, only 10% of female respondents preferred perfume as a prestige gift."

Hassan, you fool. Le Cute shop is not the only business outlet of Lintel. They have Repute under which they wholesale to islands. There in islands the people will have no choice but to buy from local shops. Do you think they will think twice about politics when they buy from local shops? Lintel also operates Duty Free Shops at airport. This where the lucrative money flows in. Everybody knows you can start a duty free shop at airport only after paying bribes to the airport officials. This used to be the turf of Ilyas Ibrahim, the father of corruption. He still exerts influence over airport through his cronies. Last time when duty free shops were contracted, Lintel received shops through forging links with Qasim Ibrahim. When Qasim asks them to campaign for Dr Munavvar, what can they do? If Munavvar comes to power, they are guaranteed of future contracts for running duty free shops. Thats where the money is. It all boils down to corruption. Do you think Le Cute will care about their customers? Majid is just one face in this game of politics and business.

Hello. My name is Salima Abu Diuof. I am the daughter of late General Diuof Bashir from Nigeria. My father left me a fortune of US$4,000,000 which is now deposited in a bank in Nigeria. I want this money to be transferred to an overseas offshore bank. I need a person to assist me in transferring the money. I am writing here because I found this blog from a Google search for Qasim Ibrahim. Your finance minister Qasim Ibrahim showed interest in helping me and he met me in Dubai. However, after I asked him to assist me and pay a small amount to start the initial work of money transfer, I haven't heard from him. If anybody knows Mr Qasim's email address or phone number please give it to me. I will be eternally grateful for your help.

Hi Salima. Minister Qasim Ibrahim's private mobile phone number is (960)7771111. His official office number is (960)3326894. His email address is minister@finance.gov.mv

I hope this helps. The Minister is also a sincere supporter of Dr Munavvar. I am sure, if elected, Dr Munavvar will be like most politicians you find in Nigeria. Good luck with your fortune of 4 million dollars. If you are able to transfer the money, come to our country once. This is a beautiful country with nice beach resorts. Dr Munavvar also has shares of some resorts. Minister Qasim owns 5 resorts. I think he can book a presidential suite for you in Royal Island.
